It's equipped with a heavy-duty, 1⁄2-horsepower motor that can adjust into three fixed speeds and an additional stir speed. While the mixer is in operation, the user can change speeds with Shift-on-the-Fly™ controls, supporting specific mixing needs for certain foods. When the operator changes from a lower to a higher speed, it transitions smoothly, reducing spillage. The Hobart HL120-1STD mixer's bowl swings out and sports an ergonomic design for easy pouring and loading. It's installable on a single section of the unit, and it locks in place to ensure it operates properly throughout use. If the stainless steel bowl guard is out of place, the machine won't turn on for user safety. To reduce the risk of overmixing, it comes with a 15-minute SmartTimer™, which upholds recipe mixing times for more accurate and consistent results.
